1) How do I find out if I qualify to participate in a clinical trial?
Generally, finding out if you qualify is a 3-step process. First, we will speak to you by telephone to get through some basic questions and answers. We provide you some additional information about the study, and we will gather some basic demographic information to determine if it makes sense to move forward. Second, you come to our medical office where we will go through a detailed screening process with you, and typically do a medical examination to ensure you qualify based upon the trial sponsor’s criteria. Finally, the sponsor goes through a process of selecting patients who have qualified from a medical standpoint. This ensures that the process is fair, and provides for statistically reliable results from the study itself.
If you want to learn more about a specific study that you believe you qualify for, call us at (844) 247-4475, or fill out your name and contact information in the form below, and we will respond to you within the next business day.
2) Do I need to pay anything to receive the therapies or medications?
No. When you participate in a clinical trial, you are helping the sponsor of the trial to understand the impacts of the therapy or medication in the population for whom it is intended. You make an important contribution to the development of these new therapies by your participation, and you will not only receive the study-related medical care and study-related medications/therapies free of charge, but you may also receive compensation for your time and travel if you qualify. For more information about clinical trials, you can visit clinicaltrials.gov website (maintained by the US National Institutes of Health).
